Prof. Mo-Yuen Chow (IEEE Life Fellow)

Mo-Yuen Chow earned his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S., 1982); and Cornell University (M. Eng., 1983; Ph.D., 1987). Dr. Chow joined as a Professor at UM-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute in 2022. He was a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University. Dr. Chow's recent research focuses on distributed control and management, smart micro-grids, batteries management, and mechatronics systems. Dr. Chow has established the Advanced Diagnosis, Automation, and Control Laboratory. He is an IEEE Fellow, the Co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Trans. on Industrial Informatics 2014-2018, Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics 2010-2012. He has received the IEEE Region-3 Joseph M. Biedenbach Outstanding Engineering Educator Award, the IEEE ENCS Outstanding Engineering Educator Award, the IEEE ENCS Service Award, the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Anthony J Hornfeck Service Award, and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Dr.-Ing. Eugene Mittelmann Achievement Award. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.

Prof. Jizhong Zhu (IEEE Fellow)

Jizhong Zhu is a Professor of South China University of Technology, and National Distinguished Expert. He is an IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, IEEE PES Smart Building, Loads, Customer Systems Technical Committee member, Chair of IEEE SBLC Load Subcommittee, Chair of IEEE SBLC Asia-Pacific Working Group, IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee member. He is also an Expert of IEEE 2030.9 Standard WG on Micro-grids, Expert of International Electrotechnical Commission WGs IEC SEG6, IEC TC22 AHG1, IEC TC22 AHG2, respectively, and Chair of IEEE Standard IEEE P2781 - Load Modeling and Simulation for Power Systems. Dr. Zhu has worked at ALSTOM Grid Inc. in Washington State, Howard University in Washington, D.C., the National University of Singapore, Brunel University in England, and Chongqing University in China. He was a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer as well as a Fellow with ALSTOM Grid Inc., and an honorable advisory professor of Chongqing University. He has published six books as an author and co-author, as well as about two hundred papers in the international journals and conferences. His research interest is in the analysis, operation, planning and control of power systems, smart grid, power markets as well as applications of renewable energy.

Prof. Mingming Zhang

Professor Mingming Zhang, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen); Director, Institute of Green and Low-Carbon Energy Innovative Technology. Prof. [Name] is a nationally recognized high-level talent, recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, the CAS Hundred Talents Program, and the Shenzhen Peacock Program (Category A). He serves as Vice Director of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, Vice President of the Guangdong Society of Engineering Thermophysics, President of the Shenzhen New Energy Research Association, Vice Chair of the IEEE PES New Energy Technology Subcommittee, and Associate Editor of Renewable Energy. His research focuses on wind energy utilization addressing China's unique wind resource characteristics, covering active/passive flow control for large-scale wind turbine blades, integrated blade optimization design, and wind farm micro-siting, with specific topics including intelligent load control for offshore wind turbines, bionic flow control mechanisms, and novel aerodynamic-structural-material-load integrated design systems. As Principal Investigator, he has led over 20 major projects, including programs under the National Key R&D Program, the NSFC, the 863 Program, and the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program, with total funding exceeding RMB 100 million. He has published over 200 papers (60+ SCI, 60+ EI), delivered 20+ invited conference presentations, and holds 20+ national invention patents. He has received 16 distinguished awards, including the CAS Science and Technology Promotion Award (Second Prize), the China Energy Research Society Energy Innovation Award (First Prize), the Beijing Science and Technology Award (Second Prize), the China Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize), the Wu Zhonghua Outstanding Young Scholar Award, and the China Renewable Energy Society Science and Technology Figure Award.
