Brief introduction
Zhaoyang Dong (Fellow, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from The University of Sydney, Australia. He is currently a Professor of power engineering with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His previous roles include a SHARP Professor of energy systems and an inaugural Director of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute, The University of NSW, Sydney, Australia; the Director of the ARC Research Hub for Integrated Energy Storage Systems; the Head of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, The University of Sydney, and the Ausgrid Chair Professor and the Director of Ausgrid Centre for Intelligent Electricity Networks providing research and development support for the AUD500m Smart Grid, Smart City national demonstration project of Australia. His research interests include power system planning and stability, smart grids and smart cities, renewable energy systems, and energy market. He has been serving as an editor/associate editor for a number of IEEE Transactions and IET journals.
